The goal of Sacred Heart Junior College’s Science Department is to offer students a sound education based on the principles of science. All courses within our varied programs are linked by their reliance on the scientific method, experimentation, and research.
Experiential learning is at the heart of our programs. Students are immersed in Belize’s natural environment to gain valuable hands-on experiences dealing with Belize’s flora and fauna and understanding the threat posed by an array of factors. As a department we value personal interactions with learners, helping them to grow in the field of science and assisting them with their future career paths.
The Science Department has the following programs of study, Associate Degree in Biology, Associate Degree in Chemistry, Associate Degree in Biology and Chemistry (dual degree), and the Associate Degree in Natural Resource Management. All of these programs can be completed in a minimum of years.
