Mrs. Rocio Victoria Smith Carballo

Biography

Mrs Rocio Victoria Smith Carballo has been in the Education Sector for more than 29 years. In 1993 she started her career as a teacher at La Immaculada School, in Orange Walk Town.  In 2009 she moved to the Cayo District as an Associate Principal at Sacred Heart College High School. In 2011 She was the vice principal for Our Lady of Mount Carmel High School. In 2015 she moved again to Sacred Heart College, and up to now, she has been the President/Principal for Sacred Heart College Inc.

As you can see she has an extensive experience in Primary and Secondary education, also she has a sound experience at the tertiary level. She has been a facilitator of various workshops around the country. Mrs Carballo possesses a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of North Florida, a Bachelor’s Degree in Primary Education from the University of Belize, gaining the honorary Summa Cum Laude title.

Originally from the Corozal District, now she resides in San Ignacio Town, Cayo, with her husband Luis Antonio Carballo.

Mr. Fermin David Magaña

Biography

Mr Fermin David Magaña has been in the Education Sector for more than 20 years. In 1999 he started his career as an Adjunct Business Lecturer at Sacred Heart Junior College. In 2001 he became the Business Lecturer and Sports Coordinator at SHJC. Then he moved on be Assistant Dean at SHJC in 2010. In August to December of 2015, Mr Magaña worked as Adjunct Lecturer at Galen University. In 2013 to present date, Mr Fermin Magaña has been the Dean of Sacred Heart Junior College.

Mr Magaña has not only been an educator, but also member of the Board of Trustes. From March of 2019 to present date, he has been member of the Board of Directors for the Development Finance Corporation, also, from November 2019 to present date, he has been member of Board of Trustees for the University of Belize, providing general directions to the institutions.

Mr Magaña possesses a Licentiate Degree in Economics from Universidad Rafael Landivar, Guatemala City, Guatemala and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Galen University, Cayo District.

Originally from the Corozal District, Mr Magaña now resides in San Ignacio Town with his spouse and kids.
